Dental Excavators are restorative instruments used to remove soft carious dentin, debris, or temporary filling material from tooth cavities. Made from durable stainless steel, they have spoon-shaped or claw-like working ends designed for efficient cutting and scooping action. Common types include spoon excavators, discoid excavators, and cleoid excavators, each suited for different cavity areas. These instruments are essential during cavity preparation to ensure complete decay removal and a clean surface for restoration.
